Type: American-Style India Pale Ale ABV: 6.5%
| Price | 2.25 | | Packaging | 1.25 | | Aroma | 13 | | Flavor
Beginning | 17.5 | | Flavor Middle | 21.5 | | Flavor End | 17.5 | | Overall | 12.5 | | Total | 85.5 | Southern Tier's IPA poured a clear, amber color with a thumb
width, white, foamy head. The nose is clean, malty with lots of piney/citrus hops. The body
is thick, with a lot of bready malt up front and in the middle with bitter edges and a sharp hop bite on the finish.
A lingering bitterness is prolonged but not overwhelming. The glass was coated with hanging lace. Overall, a solid,
balanced IPA if not overly malty. The finish is great but I have the feeling that most are looking for a little less
of that bready malt in an American IPA.
