yellow color with a finger width, off white head. The nose had lots of malt, citrus fruit and some candi sugar.
The body is layered and smooth, with a thicker mouthfeel, big malt base with sugary notes up front, and fruity esters.
The finish is crisp, with spices and a little alcohol warmth that lingers for a bit, There is some sediment at
the bottom of the bottle. Overall, this is a nice take on the classic Belgian-style. It walks the thin line
of beimg complex and drinkable at the same time. The middle body offers a huge malt backbone and the beer
hides the high ABV well. I could use a little more yeasty flavors here but this is another damn good beer from Southampton.
