Saranac’s Rye Pilsener poured a clear, golden yellow color with a two fingered white
head. The aroma is very bready, with a little malt underneath. The body is malty but
the rye is prominent in the body which gives off a little thicker mouthfeel for a pilsener. The finish
is crisp, with some light spices, and hops which helps to dry the beer out just enough to make a decent finish.
There were trace amounts of lacing left on the glass. Overall, this is a decent beer.
The rye gives this beer a little bit of thicker body and bigger flavor than a traditional pils. A
nice take on the style by Saranac.
