Saranac Pale Ale poured a clear,
deep apple cider like color with a pen width off white head. The nose is pleasant with caramel malt and
floral hops. The body smooth and clean, full bodied and complex. There is a good amount
of malts up front and in the middle before giving way to the hops. The finish is crisp
and dry with the hops coming alive and lingering on the tongue. The beer leaves a decent amount of lace
on the glass. This is one a very well made beer. It is really well balanced and has
a great finish. This would be a great stand alone or session beer. This is one of my
all time favorite pale ales.
