Black and Tan poured a dark brown, blackish
color with a thumb width, light tan head. The aroma is malty, with lots of roasted notes. The body is light and
smooth, with dark malt and heavy roasted flavors. There are charred woody notes, before a mild, dry, and earthy
finish. There was plenty of hanging lace left on the glass. Overall, this is just an ok beer. There
is now real wow factor here, and there are better choices if your craving a Saranac.
