Black Forest poured a dark brown, blackish color with a finger width
tan head. The aroma was faint, with a little malt. The body is pretty light, with dark
malts, and a hint of coffee. The finish has a little dryness but is mostly absent. This
beer starts out decently enough but heads downhill from there. There isn’t a whole lot of flavor
or taste. There is better stuff from Saranac that should be sought out before this.
