Gorges poured a dark brown, blackish color with a pen width, tan head. The aroma is big; smokey, almost beef
jerkey like, with some dark malt. The body is fairly thin for a porter, with a smooth, slick mouthfeel. There
is a huge smokeyness up front, with lots of malt, and some coffee notes. The finish has some very faint dry bitterness.
Overall, this is a decent beer. The smokeyness is nicebut it seems to all up front and even takes over the beer
at times. It is easy drinking, especially for a beer with a 7.5% ABV but a little unbalanced and falls apart a little
at the end.
