Doppelbocks are stronger, darker versions of the bock style. These
beers were originally brewed by monks to sustain themselves during their long fasts. Doppelbocks range in color
from light brown to almot a blackish color and are generally malty.
Eisbocks are stronger doppelbocks
that are brewed by freezing the beer and removing some of the water to concentrate the beer. This brewing technique creates
a stronger beer both in terms of alcohol content and flavor profile. These beers can range from a dark red to brownish
color. They have a big malt profile and and a syrupy mouthfeel.
