5 Years Later poured a dark brown, blackish color with a finger width,
off white head. The aroma is tame, lots of malt with notes of fig. The body has a creamy mouthfeel with nice depth/backbone.
There is a little sweetness up front with notes of dark fruit and roasted malts on the backend. The beer finishes with
a nice, lingering dryness. Overall, another very nice beer from Captain Lawrence. It is balanced, easy drinking,
and rounded out. Worth a try if you can find it.
