Captain's Reserve
poured a clear, golden yellow color with a finger width, white head. The nose has a bouquet of floral, citrusy, and
piney hops. The body is lighter up front, with grapefruit notes and and a light creamyness. The body is extremely
clean, and features a generous amount of hops leading to a hoppy finish and a lingering dryness. The
beer left a thick coating of lace on the glass. Overall this is an absolutely delicious beer. This beer is
smooth and well balanced with the malts hanging in the background to give balance but allowing the hops to show through.
The finish is perfect, not overly done yet leaves the drinker wanting more. Caotain's Reserve has found a perfect
balance between being easy drinking yet deep, complex, and flavorful. An amazing beer from Captain Lawrence and a must
try for any craft beer fan.
