chocolate brown color with a thin, off white head. The aroma was malty, with lotes of dark fruit, and nutty notes.
The body is soft, yet smooth and malty with sweetness to it. It has malty undertones with lots dark fruit
and a pronounced jammy aspect to it. The finish is nice; a little carbonation to clean the palate and a strong sourness
that follows the dark fruit. Overall, this is a nicely made, extremely interesting beer. The jam
is the star here, offering up dark fruit notes on the body and a distinct sourness to the finish. Like most Captain
Lawrence beers, Birra is complex yet subtle, and and extremely unique beer that is worth seeking out.
