Whiskey Porter poured a dark brown, blackish color with a finger width, tan head. The nose is wonderful, plenty of malt,
huge vanilla aroma, with whiskey and faint oak. The body is smooth, tons of malt, a little chocolate up front, more
vanilla, whiskey, a few oak notes, and a little dark fruit at the end. The finish leaves a light dryness on the palate.
Overall, this is just a great beer, one of my all-time favorites from New York. It can be had as a stand alone or paired
with a wide variety of dishes. It drinks much bigger then it's 5.75% ABV without being overdone. The finish
might lack a little, but this is an amazing beer that is a must try for any craft beer fan. Drive to Troy, N.Y. and
buy this beer.
