Brown poured a dar brown color with a tan head. The nose was nice and clean and gives off light malt and hops.
The first sip was sweet with a hint of caramel. The middle is where the malt sugars dominate and give off a nice mouthfeel.
The malts eventually give way to a herbal note and the finish is mild on the hops, but very nice. The flavors transition
nicely from start to finish. Overall, this is a good, possibly even very good American brown ale that can
be used as a stand alone or session beer. It is missing that one impression to make it a truly great beer. The
beer comes in nice, retro packaging and the price is comparable to Sam Adams, but a better beer.
