Blue Point's Oktoberfest poured a clear
amber color with a thumb width, off white head. The nose is pleasant, with a light sweetness and malt underneath
strong aromas of bready yeast. The body has pale malt and a light sweetness up front before thinning out a little in
the middle. There are faint hops underneath before a mild, dry, yeasty finish. There was some lacing left
on the glass. Overall, this is a decent take on the style. The beer gets a little thin in the
middle but is not overly sweet, and the malt and yeast work well together.
